Who here thinks that Hayden is a good actor? I like his style, with how he gets so into his characters and he says he portrays people with issues or characteristics unlike his own. I think tha's pretty good for an actor, to go off their norm and really lay themselves into a challenge of doing things through a character that they themselves would not normally do..... He's an awesome actor!! (Plus, I like Canadians)

You're young...you need to learn much if you think he's anything other than a pretty face.
Re: Hayden Chirstensen--Good/Bad Actor????
Just because I'm young, doesnt mean that I am going to like an actor beacuse he's cute. Hayden, I happen to think very talented. And yes I admit I do like his looks, but that doesnt steer my opinion of his acting. There are many actors/actresses that I like that are not cute/pretty. Stephkaye
Re: Hayden Chirstensen--Good/Bad Actor????
I'll have to side with Muddy Paws on this one. I don't think he'll have a future once he actually hits puberty.
Re: Hayden Chirstensen--Good/Bad Actor????
Personally I dont see how cruel and judging you people can be. I find something good in everyone and everything. You all're way too critical of people. Stephkaye
Re: Hayden Chirstensen--Good/Bad Actor????
you know to side somewhat with both sides, hayden did give a really shitty performance in star wars, however thats mainly because lucas cant write a screenplay for shit. Thus making most of the blame not all haydens. He did get nominated for a golden globe for life as a house, so i guess he could be worth something, dunno, I personally don't think he's really that talented at all, but I'm trying to find a view to both sides here.

Re: Y I K E S
Has he been cast in ANYTHING since Star Wars other than an interview? There's a reason for that. He is NOT talented at all. He has been cast in six movies since then: Crash Bandits (2007) (pre-production) Poker Nights (2007) (pre-production) Guilty Pleasures (2007) (post-production) Factory Girl (2006) (post-production) Awake (2006) (post-production) and the Decameron and I believe Shattered Glass was either right before or right after. You find good in everything? Yes, I do, and goes to the favor of my religion, which is NOT Christian. I believe, in a few words, Fate and Predestination, so my outlook of things really divides me from people, esp. my friends. So not only do I find good things, I accept the bad. Such as your following list. But view them from my perspective for a moment, and really see what I am trying to say... Measure the "goodness" in your own manner. Tell me ONE good thing about the Taliban? Although they managed to hold 90% of the countries territory, how do we know that this "tearing apart of nations" in the east was not supposed to happen? How do we know that after the war on terror is finished that the Taliban's past activities did not pave the way for a better reconstruction? One good thing about Hitler. For a time he held the German people together and boosted their morale, even though it was for his own greeds and deceptions, he brought them out of the depression for a time. One good thing about global warming. Global warming is not a disaster waiting to happen, it is the knife that cleans your plate after dinner. Global warming is the plan to wipe out all that will not survive to begin anew. One good thing about AIDS. AIDS and all other STDs wouldn't've ever happened I think, if people didn't go off and get on with ten other people in the same month. It's a punishment. Though there are vitcims of it like children born to it and rape victims whether male or female. My belief in that is, those people most likely had gifts or ideas that they would develop that this world was not yet ready for. One good thing about paying more than $3 a gallon for gas (petrol). This goes along with the war on terror. With what I wrote about the Taliban. paying that much is simply a consequence of these events. Just as everything is. Every event is a consequence of the before, and every after consequence will conjure millions of consequences. We choose our paths. We chose to build cars. Yet if we hadnt built cars, would we have found some other use for it and be in the same perdicament? "The eternal optimist."
If you find the good or bad in things, it is the way your mind has been cultivated to think. I broadened my vision to view all angles, that is why in some world affairs it is hard for me to come down to a grounded opinion, because i accept all views and angles. That anything could transpire from it. How do we know that all the bad in this world was not conjured to give us an outlasting good thing?? No pain; no gain. And what good is there in the eventual implosion of our sun??? Because everything comes to an end at some time. Stephkaye
Re: Hayden Chirstensen--Good/Bad Actor????
Though this is not a political forum, I do want to comment on one thing, the price of gas. If it were up to me, I would tax the hell out of gasoline and any vehicle that gets worse than 25 miles per gallon. Though people complain about the increase in oil prices, it hasn't stopped the uncomprehensible consumption of gasoline. Though it pains me to say it, Bush was right when he said we are a nation addicted to oil. I say bump the prices up to about 6 or 7 a gallon and see if people are still buying Hummers and Excursions or using fuel carelessly. The good thing about the increase in price at the pump is that it may force us to find a more efficient alternative fuel source. Our addiction is what is killing young men and women overseas.
AMEN!
Amen, brutha! Preach it. Do you know that Bush has made it easier for Hummer owners to get a tax break? There's a tax break for vehicles over a certain weight. It was designed to give the farmers a break on their trucks. But, like usual, the Republickers have found a way to include buying the most useless vehicle on the road. People who live in LA do NOT need Hummers. They are NOTHING more that a 'LOOK AT ME" type of vehicle. They never even see dirt. DK, here in LA there are tards who have actually made stretch Hummers. For what? I think one mile per gallon is lame!
Hayden
I really like Hayden...especially in Star Wars 3.
Re: Hayden Chirstensen--Good/Bad Actor????
I can't really comment on Hayden's acting ability beyond what he did in Star Wars. And in Star Wars he was pretty terrible. Though, until recently, I was under the impression that he was a completely CGI character like Jar Jar.
Re: Hayden Chirstensen--Good/Bad Actor????
Hayden's acting abilities are about as wooden as a tree stump. but then again, Lucas has consistently cast horrible actors & actresses in his Star Wars films.
Wooden
Wooden as a tree stump. Good one. So you could say he's a poster child for Viagra?
Re: Hayden Chirstensen--Good/Bad Actor????
I think he's talented. Actually, I'd like to work with him one day.... Stephkaye
Re: Hayden Chirstensen--Good/Bad Actor????
I'm not convinced that Hayden can act at all...an here's why... I haven't seen a lot of his work, but I have seen him in: 1) Star Wars (George, George, George...when are you going to learn to stick with the technology and leave ANYTHING CREATIVE to other people?) 2) Life as a House (which I quite liked...more because of Kevin Kline than anything else) 3) Higher Ground (tv show about troubled kids...pretty bad) 4) Something else that was so laughably forgettable I...well...forgot it In everything I've seen Hayden act in he's been a whiny, melancholy, angst ridden teenager. This is something that he does decently (not well, not terribly, just kind of meh), but he's NEVER done ANYTHING other than that! Until he shows a little more range I'm going to have to say that the boy plays himself quite well...but acting requires one have the ability to play characters other than oneself...something he hasn't shown an ability to do.
Re: Hayden Chirstensen--Good/Bad Actor????
I think he's rather talented. I remember seeing him quite some time ago on Higher Ground and thinking how he was the definite standout of the show. I'm glad he's come a long way from then
Re: Hayden Chirstensen--Good/Bad Actor????
Hayden's acting is pretty damn bad, let's face it. Compared to the greats, Jack Nicholson, Tom Hanks, Christensen's got nothing.
Re: Hayden Chirstensen--Good/Bad Actor????
Everyone has potential to get better at what they do....
