Previous knowledge and experience is always a good thing, but I dont think is essential. I think that dedication, motivation to learn and the love for the craft are more essential aspects. I think your personality also will play a major factor in an interview situation. Which filmschools are you planing to apply at?

FSU is a great school, but you might consider NOT majoring in film for undergrad. Learn about something else. Then you'll have something to make films about (in grad school). Good luck!

I agree with 216.101.213.251 (feel like I'm in a George Lucas student film) - film school is okay, but one thing I regret is not taking a general BA or a more liberal arts course to get a more balanced view of the world. If you're not a world traveler (as I am not), your films will suffer. I know there is a large emphasis on film schools on these boards, but they're often not the panacea that we're looking for. WPS
