when you purcahse a legal copy of AVID, you get the hardware DONGLE... funny how that works out... You can use AVID XPRESS DV FREE version if all you're doing is trying it out.

I got everything to use that software without the dongle. Just a EXE replace Nevertheless, I've bought it!! This software is for pro only!! If you have no money to buy it, then don't use it

Yeah I downloaded a kracked 'Avid Express DV" too and got the same dongle message. Then I saw that there is somthing called a dongle dumper that I thought would fool Avid, but it didn't. What is a dongle dumper? So if you do need the phyiscal dongle hardware to run Avid; can you by an Avid dongle somewere? Will generic dongles work or do you need a code. I would have just downloaded the free version of Avid, but it doesn't come in OS X 10.1.5 and I havn't had much luck stealing an OS Panther or Jaguar yet to run the free version. Hope you still find our predicaments funny.

you can fed ex him the dongle when he's using it and have him send it back when you wanna use it. I use to have to do that with Sapphire plugins at a place I was staffing at that was too cheap to buy another seat. No telling how much money they cost themselves.
