I come from Germany and was looking for a way to further develop my cinematography skills. I have worked in Germany for over 6 years in the industry but wanted to spread my wings. APA runs a fantastic hands on course in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. This was a major factor for me - I thought of studying in America, but the laid back, yet hard working environment Sydney had to offer won it for me. APA gives the students complete freedom with their work, from the development of treatments to gear selection and locations. Some of our shoots we would travel for 2 days to get to the location - if we raised the money in our budget we could do what we wanted. The school had a fantastic selection of gear and editing/digital media labs and a great relationship with lots of the Sydney councils so our choice of exterior locations was endless. The personalized tutoring and industry teaches made the course productive and encouraging, - if you try hard enough, you can get there in the end.

I would recommend APA and Australia to anyone.
