In the wake of nearly twenty-three years of brutal civil war, the population of Southern Sudan lies shattered and strewn across the Central and East African landscape. More than two and half million people have been killed and another five million have been internally and externally displaced by the conflict.
I have written an emotional charge and characters driven script set in the Sudan with African and french ladies in leading roles.
Please let me know if you can help me with raise the $2million budget for my project.
Hi - The following is a promotional email for "BOCA" which explains much of the project. Additonal info can be found on the website at: http://bocaproductions.scriptmania.com There are two production companies, (other than BOCA PRODUCTIONS), one located in Beverly Hills, the other in Philadelphia, who have equity financing, one with a letter of intent regarding "BOCA," the other with up to 65%. Still another out-of-state production company promised 20% of the below-the-line costs, quite some time ago.
Both of the production companies promising "hard money" require the screenplay to be packaged prior to funding, one which could do so with upfront "development funds" of less than $75K. (Their financing comes from another film financing company which I have researched). However, the production company doesn't have a track record packaging films that some of my associates feel comfortable with investing in. The other production company ouf of Philadelphia that wants to produce "BOCA," has an extensive production record, but doesn't really "package" films.
If you would like a copy of the screenplay, please let me know, and I can email you a copy of the third draft in either Adobe .pdf format, or the original Final Draft format.
Please review all of the material, and let me know if you would like to be involved, particularly with "packaging" the screenplay.
We are currently in negotiations with a co-production company for "BOCA," but can always use additional film financing expertise.
Seeking industry professionals with direct experience in film financing to co-opt and develop a new film project, entitled "BOCA." http://bocaproductions.scriptmania.com As the writer/producer of this new teen action/adventure romance, I have limited financing contacts, and have been hindered by a recurrent heart condition.
I am willing to let anyone who is successful in finding and securing financing for this project to write their own deal.
Though there are no formal talent or crew “attachments,” a number of letters of interest have been submitted, along with a promise of a small percentage of financing.
I suffer from a lack of experience in film financing, along with film marketing and distribution. This project, entitled “BOCA,” http://bocaproductions.scriptmania.com is in great need of a multi-talented film & TV professional, who has multi-faceted REAL contacts in all aspects of “greenlighting” feature films.
Below are some emails that have been sent regarding “BOCA,” along with some links related to the project.
If you are qualified, please submit your resume,’ along with examples of film or TV projects that you have assisted with the financing process.

This Florida Film Needs YOUR help! Any assistance you can lend in the form of filmmaker contacts, and parties who might be interested in a project such as this, will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance if you feel you can be of any help. This will be an iconic film. http://bocaproductions.scriptmania.com
Note: This project is not yet 100% funded, and is still seeking additional financing.
If you're interested here is a feature film project, set in South Florida, which is both a teen action/adventure, and a romantic tragedy: http://bocaproductions.scriptmania.com
A number of "A" list cast should attach upon completion of financing. This is a romantic tragedy with the sentimentality of "Somewhere In Time," the nostalgia
of "American Graffiti," and the action of "Bullitt," or "Fast &
Furious."
Some key cast & crew positions are still available. Please have a resume' to match the position you might be interested in. Film investors are welcome if they have the contacts to secure funding of a substantial percentage of the multi-million dollar budget.
I can FAX you letters of interest from potential cast & crew, as well as detail partial financing that is already in place.
Though the information in the following email is now a bit dated, let me know if you'd like to take a look at the "BOCA" script? Please also check-out the "What's New" Page on the website.
Hi Everyone- Forgive me if I've already sent you this update, but if you think you might be able to help with this new film, please let me know? Up until about a month ago, I thought I had three financing offers for the "BOCA" film, http://bocaproductions.scriptmania.com , ( a teen, action/adventure love story), two of which were for 100% funding. As it turns out, one of those 100% financing offers was contingent upon giving up "total production control." I wasn't prepared to do so, especially without all terms and percentages in writing. When the CEO of this firm called me weeks ago, and asked about the various "letters of intent" I was collecting, he asked, "why aren't all of those being sent directly to me!"
Anyway, his demands for letters of intent, has prompted many who had yet to do so, to send them, either directly, or through their agent. I look forward to yours, if you were part of the request?
However, talking over the financing situation a few weeks ago with John Zambetti, http://malibooz.com the most likely candidate for music supervisor/composer for "BOCA," he told me that his financing sources, both international, and at several larger independent production companies were interested. If you've listened to John's music at the Malibooz' "Beach Access" album site: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/malibooz you will hear a sample of the song "California Days," which may become one of the theme songs for "BOCA" when it's renamed "Boca Madre' Days," re-recorded, and the lyrics changed. Other songs such as "Our Summer Love" will most likely also be on the soundtrack.
In fact, the working title of "BOCA" will probably be changed to "Boca Madre' " to reflect the name of the fictional town in which the movie will take place. Hopefully, there will be a good selection of 70's era songs, and other contemporary or new songs on the soundtrack.
Ron Holden, a concert promoter, and father of actress/singer, Alicen Holden, http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1836858/ , who is being considered for the role of "Tracy Harper" in "BOCA," has told me he also has a number of investors he is contacting regarding "BOCA." Ron has also told me that he is giving copies of "BOCA" scripts to pop stars Aaron Carter, www.aaroncarteronline.com , and Jesse McCartney, http://hollywoodrecords.go.com/jessemccartney/ , at upcoming concert appearances Ron is involved in.
I have also spoken with Aaron Carter's manager Tracy Barger, at Trans-Continental Records www.t-con.com , regarding the possible involvement of Aaron Carter in the "BOCA" movie project.
Another contender for the role of Devon Trent in "BOCA," is Alex Black, www.alexblack.net/ouverture.php?num=2 , and www.alexblack.net , a fine young actor, who along with his mother Marjorie, have been loyal to the "BOCA" film project from the beginning. Still another possibility is Canadian actor, Jamie Johnston, www.jamiejohnston.com .
Many thanks go out to all those above, and others such as writer/producer Joanna Coons, director Todd Grossman, http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0343725/ for their continued interest and encouragement for the "BOCA" film project. My sincere appreciation also goes out to Braxton Honeycutt and Shane Brewer at AMVF Productions, www.amvfproductions.com who have written a "letter of intent and investment" offering to finance 20% of the below-the-line budget of "BOCA."
In addition to the all of the good news above, I spoke with Don Nichols, President of "Cinema Gold," www.cinemagold.com , a company which issues "Investor Warranties" to investors in new film projects, which according to Don, guaranties a minimum 80% return on their investment. Don seems very cooperative, and enthusiastic about the "BOCA" film project.
If you request I will keep you informed of further progress, and look forward to working with some of you in the making of "BOCA." Please let me know if you'd like more information about the "BOCA" film project. Though this film will be shot primarily in South Florida, BOCA PRODUCTIONS is located in Southern California.
