Description:
'Berlin Jerusalem - a limescapade'' is a roadocumentary on a car-trip from to Jerusalem via Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulagaria, Turkey, Syria, Jordan and the Palestine-Territories. Being a visual artist and having worked in the field of movies only occasionally, its not exactly what a documentary-/feature-film is supposed to be. Their is no off, no interviews, no commenting. Being 'well informed' by mass medias' senior correspondants on all the big topics linked to those regions (the enlargement of the european community; the bridging region of Turkey; the relation between occident/orient; the middle-east with the Syria/Hisbhola/Lebanon- and especially the Irael/Palestine-conflict), I always felt the need to travel myself through all those regions, to see and experience on my own, if and how all this regions are linked or where there are gaps, if there are. Something like a visual roadmap for the minds eye, thats what I was looking for (funny thing is: the german word for experience is 'Erfahrung' what comes from 'fahren', what means driving, cruising ....). Giving the viewer the chance to widen their perceptions without being told, how things are, whos fault is what ... was a bit of my motivation. LIMESCAPADES therefore consists mainly of drive-by-shots, (hopefully) creating a sort of visual flow, that never adresses explicitly whatsoever subject, but touches by image-language and in a more subtile way, all the complex problems, people down there trying to deal with. its free, its for you, its on: http://leaving-berlin.blogspot.com [or:] http://www.limescapades.org (map embedded viewing, infos ...) enjoy photopilote
