Zorba the Greek, Digitally Re-Mastered, Kicks-Off the Festival
at the Egyptian Theater

WHAT: The second annual Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAGFF) showcases new films from Greece, Cyprus, and filmmakers of Greek descent worldwide. The Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAGFF) promotes and nurtures Greek Cinema while bridging the gap between Greek filmmakers and Hollywood. The Festival also offers screenings of film masterworks, seminars on important contemporary film issues, and tributes to significant Greek filmmakers and performers. Orpheus Awards are given to the most outstanding new films in the dramatic, documentary and short film categories.
Opening Night Screening: (LAGFF) presents ZORBA THE GREEK, a first time screening of a newly re-mastered print courtesy of 20th Century Fox. There will be a reception immediately following the screening featuring Greek delicacies and libations.
