(clip) my first transfer 'sit-in' (16mm)

hey guys,

i've been shooting weddings for a number of years now and have added film (8mm and 16mm) to my list of services.

recently, i 'sat in' on a film transfer session for the first time. you can see an edited clip of that online session by clicking here.

having never done that before, I was completely oblivious to my options. i didn't know what to tell the colorist, other than "i shot that too dark," or "i overexposed."

so i'm interested in some terminology that the colorist will understand (I didn't go to film school) that will allow him to give me some different looks, or will allow me to see the opportunities that may be afforded me through their tools (such as what he called 'windowing.')
