Using acorns to rate each festival, filmmakers can voice their opinions and festivals can vie for one of five top spots on Best of Sqirrl, featured on the home page.

With thousands of film festivals to choose from, SQIRRL aims to be an informative resource so the best festivals can be rewarded and the less so can receive honest feedback and, hopefully, improve. Experiences that filmmakers may share on SQIRRL include festival screenings, hospitality, print and tape traffic, parties, swag, seminars, networking and professional opportunities, quality of films screened, food, and submission fees.
