Hello, I would like to hear opinions on NYFA filmmaking intensive workshops. I plan to take an 8-week filmmaking workshop in LA, as it sounds like a good opportunity to shoot on film and learn some quality thins on directing. I am not a beginner, I have more than 5 years experience in video production business, but more like a production manager and assistant director. Now i really want to make an upgrade in my career and turn to directing. I went through the web recently and found all kinds of opinions - from the best ones to the worst ones, but most of them were from past years, between 2003 and 2007. Maybe there is someone out there who had a more recent experience with NYFA and its filmmaking workshops specifically. Leaving everything at home and going to LA for three months is a big step for me, and I just want to understand whether it is worth spending time and money.
