Toronto After Dark Film Festival is one of the world’s leading showcases of thrilling international cinema and runs every October, just before Halloween. The critically acclaimed festival features new horror, sci-fi, fantasy, action, animated and cult films from around the world, including a number of award-winning features and shorts. Last year, the festival was attended by over 6,500 enthusiastic film fans and over 100 members of press and industry. In a poll of local filmgoers, Toronto After Dark was also voted Runner-Up for Best Film Festival in the City.
The SATO 48- Springfield and the Ozarks 48 hours film challenge. Make a complete film from idea to final post production in only 48 hours. This is the third annual SATO48. The contest will take place in Springfield Missouri on April 18-20 and anyone can enter. SATO has been fostering and growing the awareness of media production in Springfield, MO since 2006. Short stories told by these means are in the spotlight of 11/22, the International Comedy Short Film Festival, which will take place in Vienna every June starting in 2009.
The name “Eleven-Twentytwo” refers to the two categories of the festival, which are carried out as two independent competitions:

The Human Rights Watch International Festival (Toronto) is a project of the Human Rights Watch Toronto Committee. The festival is a leading showcase for distinguished fiction, documentary, and animated films and videos that incorporate human rights themes.
The Newport Beach Film Festival will spotlight over 350 films from around the world including features, shorts, documentaries, and animation that will compete for a series of Jury and Audience Awards. In addition to film screenings, the Festival will host several premiere galas, yacht parties, and question and answer sessions with filmmakers. The event is expected to attract more than 40,000 film devotees.
