Did that make sense? Who are you saying thanks to?
Oh....Cool. It was just weird that you started a new topic to respond to different topic.
any suggestions guys?
If you're asking what kinds of films get rejected from festivals/distribution then the simple answer is: Every kind of film gets rejected. So make anything you want. If it's your first production, then it's not going anywhere. Read the D.U.M.P.S. List (link on the left nav bar) Read it and then ignore it and do everything it says not to anyway cause you have to get it out of your system. Get through the phase of wanting to make films that are "real" Get through the phase of wanting to kill off your protagonist at the end. Get through the phase of shooting a suicide scene. Get through the phase of "guerilla filmmaking dude!" Get through the phase of casting 18 year olds as grandparents. Get through the phase of writing chunks of dialogue that span 3 pages. Get through the phase of writing a 30 minute movie with no dialoge at all. Get through the phase of "yeah, yeah, I want the image to be grainy. It's intentional" Get through the phase of "I'm not saying anything with this movie, it just looks cool" Get through the phase of "My movie is going to change the way people think" Go through all that, then make a movie you really like and that other people like too. One that has some funny stuff, some sad stuff, some action stuff, and a little romance. That one might get accepted. But don't hold your breath. --Trey
